In the past thirty-five years, obesity in the world has doubled! It continues to be an epidemic and there are certain foods that have become the primary cause for the problem. There are the foods to avoid whenever it is possible.

1. Artificial Sweeteners –

These are found in lower calorie foods including all diet sodas! They have fewer calories along with less sugar but the body still reacts to the “sweetness” driving insulin levels up, according to research studies. Individuals who drink at least two diet sodas a day may increase their waistlines by six times the norm. This is one of the commonly overlooked foods to avoid.

2. White Sugar –

6. White Carbohydrates –

These come from white rice, white bread, and starches to increase the glycemic index. In order to lose weight, choosing brown carbs is best which come from natural foods and grains. Therefore, white carbohydrates should be added to your list of foods to avoid. 

7. Oils and Fats –

The normal calorie and fat equals one hundred and twenty (120) calories each tablespoon. Olive oil also contains a lot of calories although it is healthier for the body.

8. Alcohol Consumption –

Alcohol increases the release of cortisol in the body. This hormone breaks down the muscle and increases fat retention. According to the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, individuals who drink two servings of vodka during one hour suffer from a decrease in fat metabolism of 75%.
It is a very common culprit of weight gain and obesity throughout the world. Moderate your consumption because alcohol is a major culprit for significant weight gain. 

9. Processed Food –

These foods do not contain any form of usable nutrition for the body to operate let alone lose weight naturally. Even “diet” ready to go meals are not healthy and are loaded with sodium content. The more individuals eat the more water they retain.
Processed food should be avoided at all costs but sadly, it has become a major reason for obesity throughout the world. These are some of the most important foods to avoid as they serve no kind of nutritional benefit.
